JOY Club
"And they...did eat their meals with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God." (Acts 2:46) On the Hill, we jokingly refer to the JOY Club as being "Just Older Youth." Like all youth, these folk love to have a good time! Although some of the activities are of a serious nature (like raising money for the Benevolence Fund), most of the events are just plain fun, frolic, relaxing, goofing off. At least monthly this group will head to tour a historical place, or have a park day with grand-children, or run to the beach. Joni and Dudley ...

"How beautiful are the feet of him that brings good news, that broadcasts peace..." (Isaiah 52:7) There is much division in today's world. This division has spread to the Lord's church. But here at Bethel Hill we are working hard to acknowledge the reality of our unity under the Cross of Jesus. This unity spans economic variations, language barriers, political difference, and generational bounds. There is one Cross, one Savior, one Authority, one Purpose for the Kingdom....and one day we will all be around one Throne! One expression of our unity in the Gospel, under the Cross of ...
Sunday Meetings
"And they continued steadfastly in...fellowship..." (Acts 2:42) Like most Families, we have regular meeting times. Sunday morning is a favorite time of extended fellowship. We start with coffee, then go to small groups (called Sunday School), then everyone comes together in the large room for singing, prayer & teaching. Our times are spontaneous but orderly. A variety of music, prayer from the heart, solid Bible teaching, and personal sharing can be found on any Sunday morning. We are united physically & spiritually. All ages sit together. All ages communicate love & encouragement to each other. ...

Sometimes we mean a particular meeting time, usually on Sunday morning and usually with prescribed activities. But how does the Bible define "the Church"? It means none of these things. Simply put, the Church (according to the ...
What is ‘The Gospel’?
Here in America we commonly say 'the Gospel' when we are talking about religious things associated with Christianity. But often our idea of what exactly it means is a little fuzzy. The word "Gospel" is an old word. Literally, it means "Good News". It was applied to the message of the early Christians because the world finally had a way to God that was not burdensome and full of anxiety. For thousands of years mankind had struggled to get to God. One time he built a tall tower, thinking he could physically reach into the throne ...

Pastor Masih of Pakistan comes to Bethel HillFor a couple years we have included the persecuted believers in our congregation. We are beginning to take seriously the command from the book of Hebrews, “remember those in prison”. Currently we have 5 specific people we are remembering in prayer, two of which are imprisoned in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This weekend we have a... [Read more]
