Nursing Homes

Nora Pixley is our organizer for Nursing Home visitations. The morning of each second Wednesday in the month is set aside for this ministry. Often our Mission-Minded Kids Club joins the adults, expanding the love that goes around to these precious folk. Many of these dear elderly ones are shut away with little emotional or spiritual support from friends or family. The Love of the Lord Jesus compells us to touch them with His love. They are not the same after our visits.

And neither are we! Jesus said “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Yes, giving love away reaps greater rewards than grasping at love. Those who take the time to reach out to these precious ones in Nursing Homes come away the richer for it!

Each month Nora makes a visiting plan….different places for different times. We meet together, travel together, minister together…and then eat together at some restaurant in Roxboro.
